It has always been a two seater car, with Chevrolet always offering and including enough sophisticated equipment to satisfy its owners. 1975 saw the last year Chevrolet would produce a Corvette convertible due to slumping (convertible) sales the previous year. The base model price jumped by $800 to $6,800 in part due to complying with new federal clean air and vehicle safety regulations, the C3 Corvette ran in production between 1968 and 1982.
